Lalla Lalla Lori Song Of Film Welcome To Karachi To Be Banned?

Welcome-To-KarachiArshad Warsi- Jackky Bhagnani starrer song Lalla Lalla Lori Daaru Ki Katori from the film Welcome To Karachi is going through legal issues. The song is on the same lines of a nursery rhyme and is subjected to malign it. The song centers on alcohol and thus is in legal trouble.

Apparently, a plea was filed by the NGO named Citizens For Better India in the Delhi High Court citing the song to be degrading and promoting alcohol on the basis of a nursery rhyme. The case was mentioned before the bench of Justice B.D.Ahmed and Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva.

According to the PIL, the plea is filed against the Censor Board, the Delhi Government and producers of the film Pooja Entertainment and Films Ltd. The petition is filed on this one particular song, citing it to objectionable and having negative effect on the society as well as children. The prime focus of the complaint is the lyrics of the song which promotes consumption of liquor.

The plea has also asked for the removal of the song from the movie and banning of its telecast on the TV channels due to its harming after effects.

The film Welcome To Karachi is directed by Ashish R Mohan and is helmed by Vashu Bhagnani. The music of the film is on the charts but this new hassle might create a rough patch for the film. The film is comedy centric slated to release on May 21 with Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani in the lead roles.
