MUMBAI: Controversial would-be Bollywood debutante Sooraj Pancholi’s father Aditya Pancholi has once again been caught in the crossfire.
It seems like Aditya Pacholi has taken after his son Sooraj, who is languishing in prison for being the alleged reason behind troubled actress Jiah Khan’s suicide. A hot-headed Aditya has allegedly assaulted his neighbour over a seemingly minor issue.
Late last night, a case was booked against Aditya, for allegedly assaulting his neighbour, over a disagreement. The case alleged that Pancholi trespassed into his neighbour Bhargav Patel’s home, and ‘pushed, punched and assaulted’ him.
The reason for Aditya’s alleged outburst was his annoyance and anger over the noise emanating from Patel’s home, during the course of construction work. Aditya had also allegedly had a heated exchange with his neighbour twice before; on 6 June and 19 June, but this time he went a step further by physically abusing the neighbour.
A case was registered by Versova Police against Pancholi, under Section 452 and causing voluntarily hurt under section 323 of Indian Penal code. The police is currently investigating the matter and is gathering evidence from CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, while Aditya Pancholi deals with yet another legal tangle, his son’s case has gotten murkier. The young man has been denied bail again, and will be in judicial custody until 1 July, 2013.
This surely seems to be a case of a father taking after his son, don’t you think?
