While horror movies often seem too terrifying to be real, we have heard many horror stories that are known to be real. Adding up to the spirit of the genre, Bhushan Patel’s upcoming horror film ‘Amavas’ has been shot at castle Goring at West Sussex in London that is said to be haunted in real life. The same location was featured even in an episode of Ghost Hunters.

Starring Sachiin Joshi, Vivan Bhathena, Nargis Fakhri, Navneet Kaur Dhillon in lead roles along with Mona Singh and Ali Asgar, ‘Amavas’, a plot heavy suspense thriller was shot at Castle Goring for a start to finish 40 days schedule.

The teaser that was recently released does show us glimpses of the castle with indeed has an eerie feel to it.

On his experience directing a horror film at a location said to be haunted for real, Director Bhushan Patel says “The story has a lot of suspense and horror elements and we thought it would be ideal to shoot at a location that has the haunting feel to it. We were lucky that we got the permissions to shoot at the exact place that we had in our mind. Later we got to know that Sussex is known for its horror stories.”

Produced by Viiking Media and Entertainment in association with Simply West UK and Weeping Grave the film is slated to release on 11th January.
