Expressing his views on the MNS ban, Naseeruddin Shah said, “The film industry is an easy target. They (MNS) have as much fun targeting the industry as they would have while watching films made by Bollywood. We haven’t broken diplomatic ties with Pakistan, nor are we in the state of war, or have sealed our borders. Only artistes who aim to spread the message of love and peace are being attacked.”
Many multiplex owners were also being threatened regarding the release of the film. When asked about it, Shah said, “According to me, the brave hearts (MNS) who are threatening them (makers and multiplexes) with dire consequences should fight the enemies on the border, kill Pakistani intruders. What’s the point of threatening defenceless/harmless artistes? The actor also assured that he won’t miss watching ADHM. “Jis film ko censor ne release kar diya hai wo kyu nahi release karni chahiye? Uspe rukawat kyun aani chahiye? Main Karan Johar ka koi bada fan nahi hu lekin ye film (ADHM) mai zaroor dekhunga. Kyunki main sochta hu ki aise kisi bhi creative insaan ko support karna chahiye jo apna kaam dikhana chahta hai. Halanki goverment ne bhi pura ashvasan diya hai ki iss film ko release karna hoga”, he added.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is releasing on October 28.
