The Chief who was blamed for his unreasonable cuts for the film was also targeted for his illogical stance towards the movie. The makers of the film ‘Udta Punjab’ moved to the High Court to justify their position.

The HC ruled out CBFC’s cuts and also told the authority not to behave as a grandmother. The verdict surely irked the Censor Board in every way and also back fired them. Moreover, the film ‘Udta Punjab’ got a nod from the Court and the film is all set to hit the screens tomorrow. Just when everything was falling in place a major glitch came about and the film was leaked online.
The leaked version of the film ‘Udta Punjab’ was found on torrent sites. The snapshots from the leaked version hint at the fact that the film was a copy which was submitted to the CBFC. It was not hard to allege that the Censor Board had played foul and leaked the film online. The run time of the leaked film states 2 hours and 20 minutes.

It was believed by many that the Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film was leaked online by the CBFC. Pahlaj Nihalani has replied on the matter saying, “This is baseless, we abide by rules.”
Well, the truth is still not uncovered. ‘Udta Punjab’ directed by Abhishek Chaubey was in a tough hassle with the Censor Board. The CBFC had ordered around 89 cuts for the film. The movie is finally going to have just one cut and will hit the screens tomorrow.
