MUMBAI: It was a night to remember, for birthday boy Hrithik Roshan and his near and dear ones. The superstar actor turns a year older today, on the 10th of January; and his friends decided to ring in his birthday in style, atop a luxury yacht.
The ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and ‘Agneepath’ superstar, who turns 39 today, rung in his birthday yesterday evening, celebrating with his closest friends and family. The ‘Dhoom 2’ actor’s wife, Suzanne Roshan wanted to surprise her hardworking hubby by throwing him a fabulous birthday eve party by hiring a luxurious yacht.
The birthday boy himself kept it chic and casual in blue jeans, a navy tee, a black leather jacket and a think black scarf-tie. His beautiful wife Suzanne chose a similar attire to match her hubby dearest: jeans, a grey tee, grey woolen overcoat and a pink shawl.
We spotted all the Roshan camp regulars at the yacht party, including ace director Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan’s stylista-designer wife, Gauri Khan. Karan was clad in New York-esque winter wear to beat the unseasonal chill in Mumbai: a long, black woolen overcoat and trousers.
Hrithik’s close friend and co-star Preity Zinta chose tight black leather pants and a graphic printed tee, with a black sweater. She was spotted entering the yacht with Arjun Rampal (effortlessly stylish in grey trousers, a white shirt, a black tie and a dark V-neck sweater) and his wife Mehr Rampal. Sanjay Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl were the other Bollywood guests at this fancy party.
And the cake itself deserves a special mention: Hrithik’s wife ordered a huge birthday cake for her super-fit actor husband, who forgot his diet for the day and indulged in a large gateaux cake with a strawberry topping, and chocolate icing. We must say, the cake looked delicious, and almost as interesting as the celebrity guests at Hrithik Roshan’s fabulous yacht party!
