MUMBAI: Salman Khan rules the roost, as far as Bollywood is concerned. That much is by now common knowledge. What’s a revelation is just how ‘Dabangg’ our macho superstar can be, and just how much he can get away with!
We had reported how amazingly star-studded the launch of the third season of the CCL was. And now we have exclusive pictures of all the action that look place on stage, where a host of Bollywood superstars enthralled the crowds with their incredible performances.
The third edition of Celebrity Cricket League will start from February 9 onwards. The launch of the League was an absolutely splendid event, which saw the who’s who of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali and Bhojpuri film industry.
The performances that raised the temperatures were most certainly those of the sexy Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu and the astoundingly pretty Katrina Kaif. This event saw no dearth of glamour or high power entertainment. Katrina performed to her uber sexy, sizzling song ‘Chikni Chameli’ moves, while her “good friend” Salman Khan went all out thrusting to the beats of ‘Dabangg 2’ for his performance.
Salman was even seen on stage accompanied by Riteish Deshmukh, Suniel Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. The ‘Dabangg’ dude took their trip and was seen ribbing each one of them about their on-field performance. When asked why he himself didn’t become part of any of the celebrity cricket teams, Salman quipped in his inimitable style: “That’s because I wanted to give others a chance! No but seriously, I’m not a great cricket player. I didn’t want to bring down the performance of any team by being part of the team. It’s better if I attend the matches as a spectator, rather than a player.”
Bipasha Basu along with the Aussie cricketer Andrew Symonds was the most dazzling performer of the evening. The event was hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Ayushmann Khurrana , and both these young men both enthralled the audiences with their wit and charm.
