Arjun Rampal and Farhan Akhtar are already back together on sets post Rock On 2. This time it’s for Rampal’s home production, ‘Daddy’, which is a biopic on gangster Arun Gawli.
The movie also showcases the infamous rivalry between Arun Gawli and Dawood Ibrahim. This part which is reportedly core of the film, Farhan Akhtar plays Dawood Ibrahim and Rampal himself is portraying the protagonist, Gawli. Recently the duo was spotted shooting for the film at a suburban studio.
Check out pictures here where Farhan Akhtar can’t be recognized in the first look as he emerged after giving the shot. He is donning a polyester shirt indicative of the 1970s, a wig and moustache!
As per a report by leading daily, while Arjun had announced wrap-up in October after Farhan Akhtar canned his portions in a day in a Khar Bungalow this July, Dawood’s screen time was extended for which the team were shooting another day long schedule.
The biopic, directed by Gaurav Bavdankar, has been shot at real locations and will cover Gawli’s life from his 20s to his 60s. The film also features the South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh, who will portray the role of Gawli’s wife.
