Salman Khan Blackbuck Case: Verdict Deferred Further

As we reported that verdict of Salman Khan’s illegal arms case was to be announced yesterday. The case, which was deferred to Jodhpur court, gave a last opportunity to the prosecution to produce the witnesses and records relating to the case.

The court accepted nine-year-old applications of the prosecution, and the court has given last opportunity to the prosecution to present the new witnesses.

The court has ordered to call four witnesses on March 10, as a last chance and also no further chance would be given to the prosecution to produce witness.

Salman along with his co-stars Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam, Saif Ali Khan were accused of hunting the protected black buck animal in Rajasthan, while they were shooting for their Hum Saath Saath Hain movie in 1998. He was also charged with illegal possession of weapons during the hunting incident.

If found guilty, Salman will face a jail time between three to seven years which however is bailable at any time. On the work front, Salman has two upcoming movies, Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
