MUMBAI: The ‘Tiger’ is back to ruling the jungle. Not satisfied with merely rocking the box office, brand endorsement and awards functions, Salman ‘Tiger’ Khan has forayed into fashion as well. The uber cool ‘Dabangg’ superstar has gone ahead and launched his flagship ‘Being Human’ store in Mumbai.
We caught up with the dashing, young-at-heart superstar yesterday at the press conference to launch the ‘Being Human’ store. ‘Being Human’ is his line of clothing, which we have seen Salman sport at every given opportunity: from parties, to film launches, press conferences to TV appearances; the man is never seen without a witty ‘Being Human’ tee on his broad chest. And now Salman wants to ensure others can keep up with his extensive ‘Being Human’ wardrobe, by launching a designer label of clothes in his very first store.
At the press con, Salman wore (what else?) a ‘Being Human’ black tee with an olive green military jacket on top. He interacted with the media and the hosts Mandira Bedi and Manish Mandhana, Managing Director, Mandhana Industries Limited and was his charming, chatty best.
And later, Salman made it to the grand opening of the store, where the rest of his family and friends were gathered in support of the Box Office messiah. Seen at the launch were his mother Salman Khan, Helen aunty, sister Alvira Agnihotri with Atul and kids, brother Arbaaz, Malaika and Amrita Arora; Sohail, Seema and their kids, and younger sister Arpita. The entire family posed in front of the ‘Being Human’ logo, which made for an incredible photo op indeed!
Also present for the stylish soiree were Aditya Panscholi (who looked like he needed styling tips from Salman ASAP) and TV actor Rohit Roy. Salman’s bodyguards (including now-famous Shera) had a tough time containing the crowds outside the store, which had gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite superstar Chulbul Pandey aka Salman Khan. More power to you, Mr. Khan!
