[tps_footer]Yesterday on 25th February 2016, Sanjay Dutt was finally released from the Yerwada Jail in Pune after 23 years of constantly embroiled in the legal battle. The 56-year-old ‘Munnabhai’ was released after having served his five-year sentence for possessing illegal arms in the March 12th, 1993, Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. As expected, the actor’s friends, family and fans were waiting with bated breath to welcome the ‘Khalnayak’.
While his homecoming was nothing short of spectacular with his fans thronging just to get a glimpse of him and his whole neighborhood decked like a festival, we now wonder what Sanju baba will do next. After all, after having spent years in uncertainty of being sent to jail, he is now completely free to pursue his career with a vengeance. If reports are to be believed, the ‘Khalnayak’ has around seven projects including Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on his like on his plate. Spoilt for choice, Dutt however has stunned us all by his choice.
Apparently, Dutt has decided to first complete Soham Shah’s long-pending film Sher which suffered tremendously when Dutt was sent to prison. Shah who is Dutt’s protégé apparently has his whole career pinned on this film and this is why Dutt is giving priority to Sher.
The film which also stars Vivek Oberoi and Humaima Mallick was nearly shelved after the film’s producer Shri Asthvinayak was embroiled in financial and legal troubles.
While many were convinced that Dutt would persue Siddhart Anand’s film which was reportedly an action film first, this news quashes those rumors. And to top it all, a movie titles ‘Sher’ should make for an amazing watch, especially when Sanju Baba is in the lead![/tps_footer]
