By now we all know, director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar and hairstylist Adhuna Akhtar are heading for divorce. Rumours were already doing rounds on the couple facing some problems in their marriage, but then it turned to be true after the couple issued an official statement over the same.
The official statement reads, “This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.”
While the duo has decided to split, Farhan Akhtar’s mother and veteran actress Shabana Azmi has decided to maintain silence over their personal matter. The veteran actress has been promoting her upcoming film Neerja, which also stars Sonam Kapoor. During one of the media interaction sessions for the film, Shabana Azmi was targeted back to back with the questions on her son Farhan Akhtar’s divorce.

This did not go well for the veteran actress and she immediately threatened to walk out of the interview if she was asked anything regarding divorce.
