MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has topped the Forbes Magazine India Celebrity 100 list, a ranking of India’s biggest entertainers based on their income and popularity.
According to the biweekly, Shah Rukh Khan earned a massive of Rs 202.8 crore between September 2011 to October 2012.
Surprisingly, Bollywood’s current box office king Salman Khan came second with an earning of Rs 144.2 crore.
Indian cricket team captain M.S. Dhoni, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Kareena Kapoor, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli and Katrina Kaif complete the top ten list as the highest earning celebrities.
Not only is Shah Rukh leading the celebrity list, he also is the first actor to be featured on the cover of the Magazine.
The King Khan of Bollywood, as he is called made the Forbes list of ‘100 Most Powerful People’ in the World, where Sonia Gandhi ranked 12th and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh 19th. “In the four years since Forbes has entered the Indian market, SRK will be the first actor on the cover page,” says a magazine insider.
Famous celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani who recently launched his annual calender, was roped in to shoot SRK for the cover of the magazine. The pages of the magazine will cover Shah Rukh Khan’s definition of his success, his cricket team and his production company.
