NEW DELHI: With the release date merely one day away for Yash Chopra’s last directorial outing, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, the promotions have reached a feverish pitch.
In a penultimate press conference, the film’s stars arrived in the Capital City over the weekend. And boy did they rock New Delhi!
The film’s leading stars, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, descended upon the capital, and spoke about all things ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. The trio was seen at a promotional event, interacting with the media and dishing details and snippets about the making of the film.
Shah Rukh, was his witty and charming best, and needless to say, he kept the audience and his leading ladies in splits throughout the interaction. He was seen sharing little incidents and anecdotes about the film, his method of acting and his heroines’ reactions to him.
Talking about romancing “the most beautiful heroines” as SRK had called them during his ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ visit, the actor said, “When you get a chance to romance such beautiful girls, then work becomes easy. Romance is not just about songs. Comfort is needed when you do romantic films. For me it’s not about chemistry, it’s about comfort. It’s really difficult to look into a girl’s eyes and say ‘I love you’ and then say the same thing to another girl.”
Nattily dressed as always in a dapper black suit, Shah Rukh was the life of the event.
The film’s heroines looked lovely in formal western wear. Katrina chose a sharp black formal suit and pencil skirt; the lady regaled the press just by being her beautiful, graceful, ethereal self.
Anushka, the bubbly effervescent youngster was second in command to SRK, and was also seen sharing her experiences while filming with late Yash Chopra.
“I am just happy that I am getting to do the kind of work I always wanted to do. I started off without knowing whether I wanted to be an actress or not. But since I started doing films, I have started loving the craft,” said Anushka.
She donned a floral printed blouse, and a beige fitted knee length skirt, to show off those ample long legs of hers. Her hair neatly pulled back into a tight pony, she looked fresh faced and excited about her upcoming release.
With just one day to go for the release of Yash Chopra’s magnum opus, the excitement is at an understandable all-time high.
The stars are visibly anxious to see how the audience reacts to Yashji’s last film as director. As we had previously reported, the advance bookings of the film too, are going very strong, and the audiences seem extremely eager to watch this film on first day itself.
Almost 75% of the seats have been pre-booked, and it is obvious that this film will be a clear winner at the ticket windows this festive season.
