Somy Ali Opens Up On Her Past With Salman Khan

Former actress Somy Ali and Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend penned her autobiography writing about her childhood, teenage, about her crush with Bollywood actor Salman Khan and many more.

She has written a chapter on former boyfriend Salman Khan in her autobiography. She said that she stepped into Bollywood at the age of 16 after seeing Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).

In an interview, she said that she had a dream of marrying Salman Khan the night she watched that movie. She woke up and ran in every corner of the house looking for a suitcase, as she wanted to move to India to marry Salman Khan of whom she dreamt.

Somy Ali’s mother was initially angry over this, but later convinced she her and the rest is the history. She said that we are precocious in our teenage years and quite ridiculous as well.

During the same interview she was asked about the rumoured accident happened between her and Salman Khan, when they were dating in 90s. She clarified on the accident when Salman Khan smashed a coke bottle on her head. In defence to Salman Khan, she said if he had done that, she would have been hospitalized and bleeding profusely.

She said he was not happy because she was trying alcohol for the first time, so in his frustration he poured the drink all over the table.

Somy Ali also spoke about the violence she faced during her childhood. Writing in her autobiography she revealed that she grew up amidst an atmosphere of domestic violence in Pakistan.

She revealed that she was molested as a child. She was sexually assaulted by a house-help when she was just five. She believes in sharing her personal experiences that would encourage others to speak out and not be ashamed about being a victim.

Somy Ali is a former Pakistani Bollywood actress of the early 1990s. She re-located to Florida USA with her family before moving to Mumbai to focus on her acting career, where she appeared in 10 movies and had several modelling assignments. She also has her own clothing line, So-Me Designs^. Apart from this, she is running a non-profit organisation, No More Tears, popularly known as NMT.
