NEW DELHI: Bollywood’s most ‘bindaas’ bubbly girl Preity Zinta has emerged from self-imposed exile, to walk the ramp for her designer friend Surily Goel.
Preity was spotted scorching up the runways last night, at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2013 in the capital city. Looking oh-so-stunning and surprisingly svelte in a black sequined one-shoulder gown, Preity was the cynosure of all eyes on Day 1 of the fashion week, held at Pragati Maidan.
Said Preity, gushing about her friend Surily’s talent as an acclaimed designer: “Surily is one of my favourite designers. She is a versatile designer. She intelligently experiment with fabrics and thread work and truly knows what works best with the women.”
Showering even more praise on Surily, Preity couldn’t resist adding, while flashing those gorgeous dimples in a wide smile: “I always look forward to Surily`s designs as they are perfect mix of right colours, fabrics and designs.”
Speaking about her bold ensemble for the fashion event, Preity said: “It`s bold, classy and very feminine.”
When quizzed about her own style statement, Preity said that she prefers western wear when she’s chilling at home. “I usually wear western outfits like jeans and Tees at home, gowns at the formal events and short dresses when I go out with friends,” said the effervescent actress.
We couldn’t help asking Preity about her forthcoming film ‘Ishkq in Paris’, which has been in the news for being delayed indefinitely due to a lack of buyers and the director facing health issues. The film has been postponed since November 2012, and is still in the cans.
“I can’t disclose the dates as of now but it will release soon,” said Preity Zinta, not betraying her worry over the film’s fate.
