Truth Behind Vishal Bhardwaj And Haider

Haider-2611

Vishal Bhardwaj, who is currently shooting his latest film Haider, starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in Kashmir, has run into trouble.

Well, Vishal had to call pack up mid way during his schedule owing to the protests by students of The Kashmir University in Hazratbal. This news is doing the rounds.

Now, here is what actually happened:

Vishal was shooting for a sequence in the above location that required silence. The star struck students starting hooting and instead of waiting and wasting his time the director called a pack up. Simple, end of story.

Vishal has however assured people of Kashmir that Haider would be a real depiction of the pain people have gone through in the past two decades.

“I want to share the pain which the people of Kashmir have gone through in the last many years and I want to be very sensitive and honest about it as I strongly feel for it,” said a very emotional Bhardwaj.

Vishal strongly feels that Kashmir is the only part of the country that has gone through the biggest tragedy. He also feels that there has not been real depiction of the pain that the people of Kashmir have gone through and are still going through and that’s the reason wants to be as real as he can with Haider.

“I feel ashamed with the way Kashimr has been depicted in Bollywood. I want to tell the story honestly and you have to watch the film to believe me. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. I am treating the story honestly as I am not making the film for commercial reasons but for personal reasons,” said Vishal.

In Haider all the characters are from Kashmir and Vishal is taking care that the film does not show people singing on a “shikara” (boat) or running with a gun. He is trying to put together a story of a middle class family from Kashmir where all the characters are well educated and of today.
