MUMBAI: Bollywood newbie Varun Dhawan who wowed his fans with some smooth moves in debut film – Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, once again took our breath away as he grooved to a mix of Bollywood numbers at the Zee Cine Awards 2013 aired recently.
Varun Dhawan brought the stage on fire, as he danced … shirtless…to the catchy, controversial ‘Radha’ number from SOTY.
The extremely hot Varun ripped off his kurta on stage, and flaunted those well toned abs (apparently for the last time, since he says his mother has forbidden him). The 25 year old actor offered a sizzling performance packed with lifts, turns and spins showcasing jazz, broadway and contemporary styles, leaving us gasping for air, as he raised the temperatures!
Internationally renowned choreographer, Shiamak Davar who has trained the young Varun, had wonderful things to say about the son of filmmaker David Dhawan.”Varun is really a teacher’s dream, such a fine person and so talented. It was great to have him at the show.”
For Varun Dhawan, the journey to stardom has well and truly begun. After a dream debut, the newcomer has been signed by Balaji Motion Pictures to work in a Hindi remake of a Telugu blockbuster film.
Says Balaji Czarina Ekta Kapoor, “Varun is like a young Salman Khan, he fits the bill perfectly. He’s comfortable with humour, his acting is very good and he’s a wonderful dancer, too.”
