Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her bold statements is currently a talk of the town over her several statements made on Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar during Koffee With Karan 5. The actress recently gave her piece of mind to Karan Johar over his comment on her playing a “victim card”. Well, now Kangana Ranaut has reacted to her statement on rejecting to work with three Khans- Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
To all the ignorant, during the rapid fire segment on Koffee With Karan, Karan Johar had asked Kangana which Khan — Shah Rukh, Salman or Aamir — she wants to work with, Kangana Ranaut had a blunt response!
Kangana Ranaut replied, “None!” The actress reasoned, “I don’t want to work with anyone with whom I don’t have an equal role.”
During the same time, reports also started doing rounds that SRK has clearly rejected to work with Kangana for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s next. The superstar rejected the film saying he is not interested in the script and chose another film that was offered by the same director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Now, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Kangana has revealed that why she does not want to work with the Khans and it actually makes sense. Kangana has also revealed that she admires Shah Rukh Khan but ‘it’s unfortunate that they will never cross paths’.
Kangana said, “In fact, there is no longevity with working with Khans. It’s the other way around because what I am today, where I stand today, as the leading lady doing a film with a Khan, let’s be rational about it. Where would it take me? Can it take me a notch higher than where I already am? It cannot! What can it give me that I have already not achieved? I can’t see a single thing…if you can tell me. I have popularity, I have built a fan following of mine, where do I go from here. The only way I can last is by growth. That I will only get if I go a notch higher than my last film. In a film, there’s only one hero. There are exceptions of course. Let’s talk about a Khan film. Who is the hero in that film? When I have done and working on films that give me the possibility of building a brand of my own individually, it will be very stupid of me to go and stand behind someone else and try and encash their popularity.”
In this interview with Rajeev Masand, Kangana Ranaut talks about the failure of Rangoon, about the public spat with Hrithik Roshan and how her family and she herself were affected by it.
