MUMBAI: With just a day left for the release of ‘Talaash’, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has revealed that Saif Ali Khan was offered the lead role in the movie.
“Reema wanted him (Saif) in the movie, but his dates didn’t work out,” she explained.
Kareena Kapoor plays Rosy and has Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee as her co-stars. She has a crucial role in the movie, and hubby Saif is excited, even though he missed out on the opportunity to be part of the movie. She says, “He is really excited that I am part of it. Obviously, it’s a great role.”
We also hear that Kareena will not be using her marital surname in the credits of the movie even though this will be her first release post her wedding. During the launch of the music of the movie, director Reema Kagti had revealed that the actress wanted to be identified as Kareeena Kapoor in the credits.
Kareena is working with Aamir Khan after a gap of 3 years and the audiences have previously loved their chemistry.
About her co-star she says, “He is a great co-star and a great team player. He makes sure his films turn out well. If I could, I would work in all his films.” Meanwhile, she is leaving Saif Ali Khan for the other “lovely leading ladies”.
