[tps_footer]It’s tough to survive in showbiz and a lot of times more importance is given to look and outer appearance than the talent and skills of a performer. Even Aamir Khan is going through the process of losing weight as he had to gain weight more than 90 kilos to look like a wrestler in his upcoming movie Dangal. But, it’s for a role, what about the ones who are naturally born with a plus size body. We all have different types of bodies, DNA structure, features and much more. That doesn’t give a right to anybody else to insult or poke fun at the ones who are on the thinner or heavier side.
Recently, Sonam Kapoor had also raised her voice on twitter against body shaming and Anushka Sharma who is a victim of body shaming for being too thin, supported Sonam and now it’s Zareen Khan who has taken this issue on Instagram. Right from her first movie, Veer opposite Salman Khan, she was heavily criticized for her overweight, this reminds us of Vidya Balan too. She faced a lot of jokes and troll online for her voluptuous figure. But, nothing could stop these two actors from achieving success in the world of movies. Although, Vidya Balan is still being the way she use to be and she had lost weight to do Kismat Connection opposite Shahid Kapoor but now she is back to her healthy body avatar.
Here, we have Zareen Khan’s open message to everyone along with her earlier days pics, when she was very heavy and her slim trim avatar which we have seen in Hate Story 3, was far away from her thoughts. She has posted this to stop body shaming and at the same time to encourage everyone to love themselves the way they are and not try to fit into somebody else’s way of looking at you,
Zareen said, “Came across these pics of mine from school and college days. (White one was in std 9th & pink one was right after my std 12th exams). Whn I look at these pics I feel proud of myself today not tht I felt any lesser abt myself back then. Inspite of being so big I never let ppl’s comments or ideas abt me bother me. Bcoz it’s my life and my body and only I hav the right to decide whtI’m gonna do withit. Then one day I decided let me try how it feels to b a little lighter and hence started my weight loss journey. It wasn’t easy at all bt everytime I looked at the Progress in the mirror I got the push to do more. I had lots more energy…….” Read her full message here,
