MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar’s latest comedy flick Thank You has taken an average opening at the box office. While the movie saw ho-hum response at multiplexes, it did better business in single screens.
The movie’s opening day net collections across India were approximately Rs 48.5 million (Rs 4.85 crore).
On the other hand, Vashu Bhagnani’s Faltu, which took a good opening at the box office last week despite the world cup has done net collections of approximately Rs 170 million (Rs 17 crore) in its first week.
The Abhishek Bachchan starrer Game has had a disastrous first week with net collections of only Rs 46 million (Rs 4.6 crore).
