MUMBAI: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, and starring Farhan Akhtar as Milkha Singh, has seen a racy week one at the box office.

Based on the life of Indian sportsman Milkha Singh aka the Flying Sikh, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has turned out to be a box office winner at the end of the first week run at the ticketing windows.
As reported, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ opened to great reviews on Day 1, with audiences accepting the biopic on opening weekend. The film opened to approximate collections of Rs 92.5 million (Rs 9.25 crore net) on Day 1.
The opening weekend total for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ was in the range of Rs 320 million (Rs 32 crore net).
At the end of week 1, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is still going strong at Rs 526.6 million (Rs 52.66 crore) net. With the possibility of tax exemptions being applied on the film, it looks to soar even higher in the weeks to come.
