Box Office Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani: Who Is Leading In Overseas First Day Collection?

But of course the former is leading the race there as well, as ‘Bajirao Mastani’ faces competition from ‘Dilwale’ in certain international areas as well. The films are performing greatly in India but places like Australia, New Zealand and UK have always show keen interest in both the films. So much so that at some places ‘Dilwale’ is ranking number two internationally after Hollywood release ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

In the international collections of ‘Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Dilwale’ has collected Rs. 69 lacs from Australia and Rs. 36 lacs from New Zealand making it a total of Rs. 1.05 crores net approx from these two countries alone in its Thursday and Friday business. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on the other hand collected Rs. 37 lacs from Australia, Rs. 7 lacs from NZ and Rs. 73 lacs from UK making it a total of Rs. 1.17 crores from all the three countries. Naturally the numbers will be high from UK and USA for ‘Dilwale’ as well, since Shah Rukh Khan is an internationally known actor.

Nonetheless ‘Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani’ is till now co-existing with good response for both the films from critics as well as audience review. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is catching up with great word of mouth that the film might not have received if it had been released solo. ‘Dilwale’ collected Rs. 22 crores net approx (Rs. 220 million) while ‘Bajirao Mastani’ collected Rs. 12 crores net approx (Rs. 120 million) at their first day at the box office in India. With so much heat and buzz the films should do great over the weekend.

‘Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani‘ has lot of time left to cover the ground as till January 8, 2016 there are no major Hindi releases leaving the battle ground open for them both.
