MUMBAI: The opening day collections of the Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dum Maaro Dum are in.

 

As per data provided by Fox Star Studios India, the movie saw net collections of approximately Rs 54 million (Rs 5.4 crore) across India on Friday.

When compared to Bachchan’s last release – Game, which saw net collections of Rs 12.5 million (Rs 1.25 crore) on its opening day, Dum Maaro Dum’s collections are way better.

Below is the territorial breakdown of the movie’s performance across India on Friday:

 

Mumbai – Rs 2.12 crore

Delhi/UP – Rs 1.05 crore

AP/Nizam + Marathwada – Rs 43 lakhs

Mysore – Rs 41 lakhs

East Punjab – Rs 38 lakhs

East – Rs 30 lakhs

CP Berar – Rs 16 lakhs 

Rajasthan – Rs 15 lakhs

Tamil Nadu / Kerala – Rs 14 lakhs

CI – Rs 13 lakhs

Others – Rs 13 lakhs

 

TOTAL – Rs 5.40 crore 

 

It must also be kept in mind that Dum Maaro Dum released on a holiday on account of Good Friday and hence its opening performance could have been better. It remains to be seen how the movie performs over Saturday and Sunday.

The movie is directed by Rohan Sippy and stars Bachchan along with Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Pratiek Babbar.
