MUMBAI: Vashu Bhagnani’s Faltu has a good run at the box office in its opening weekend despite the finale of the ICC World Cup 2011 that was played between India and Sri Lanka on Saturday. On the other hand, Game’s opening weekend was disastrous.

Faltu’s opening weekend net collections were at Rs 105 million (Rs 10.5 crore) with Friday collections at Rs 44 million (Rs 4.4 crore), Saturday at Rs 10.5 million (Rs 1.05 crore) and Sunday at Rs 50.5 million (Rs 5.05 crore).

Game’s opening weekend collections in India were a mere Rs 28 million (Rs 2.8 crore). The movie’s Friday collections stood at Rs 12.5 million (Rs 1.25 crore), Saturday was at Rs 1.5 million (Rs 15 lakhs), whereas Sunday was at Rs 14 million (Rs 1.4 crore).

While Game has been a non-starter at the box office, Faltu’s collections could have been higher if not for the World Cup 2011.
