MUMBAI: Bela Bhansali Sehgal’s debut direction Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, featuring Farah Khan for the first time in an actor’s shoes, Boman Irani, Kavin Dave, Shammi, Kurush Deboo and Daisy Irani has taken a weak opening at the box office on its first day.
With scarce response from most of the country, the large part of the collections in the range of Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crore) net came from Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab.
With Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger looming over the film refusing to let go of the super streak it has taken on at the box-office, the weekend looks bleak for Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
