Heropanti has proved to be a good launch for Tiger Shroff and has managed to touch the Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crore) nett mark at the Box Office.
Both Tiger’s parents; Ayesha Dutt, Jackie Shroff would be relived seeing the figures of their sons debut film Heropanti. Tiger Shroff has been appreciated for his stunts and while most men who have seen Heropanti want to see Kriti Sanon.
“Honestly, sometimes it all became a little too overbearing. I was in stress and tension all the time that how would people think about me. Moreover, being my father’s son, it was all the more pressure. Ultimately, it was my sportsman mentality that kept me going. I knew that I had to prove myself and also show the truth that I am very different from my father. Guess, that worked after all.” stated Tiger Shroff who is happy with the positive reactions he has got from both the Industry as well as his fans.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is delighted with the response that Heropanti has got at the Box Ofice.
“I have always worked with people who generate positive vibes. Over last twenty years, I have forged relationships that have been for the keeps. As for newcomers like Tiger, Kriti and Sabbir, I could sense what they are capable of. It is always wonderful when the audience also acknowledges your conviction. Thankfully Heropanti has done quite well. God forbid, even if the results would have been as huge, my relationship with them, both personally and professionally, wouldn’t have changed one bit.“ so stated Sajid Nadiadwala.
Heropanti has had a dream run for two weeks. The film was released on May 23, 2014 and last week, May 30, 2014 saw the release of CityLights and Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi.
Both for CityLights or Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi sank at the Box Office without making much of a noise.
If one looks at a combine figure that both these films would have collected, then it would not even be Rs 100 million (Rs 10 crore) nett; which is very poor. Both the films have failed to live up to the expectations commercially.
This week, June 06, 2014 has seen the release of Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha’s Holiday and Filmistaan. Holiday is carrying bad reports but the word of mouth for Filmistaan is good. Lets see how both these films fare at the Box Office.
Next week, June 13, 2014 films like 18.11 (A Code Of Secrecy…!), Bollywood Villa, Chal Bhaag, Fugly, Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai, The Untold Story Aahinsa and Unforgettable will release. Lets see how they fare at the Box Office.
