Veteran Actor Mukesh Khanna who is still wellknown for his role as Shaktimaan has now been appointed as Children Film Society India’s chairman. The actor who made millions of children’s life awesome with his role, as Shaktimaan will now work towards building a better platform for children based films in India. He will soon take over the position from previous chairman, Stanley Ka Dabba creator Anmole Gupte.
CFSI CEO Shravan Kumar stated, “Mukesh Khanna has been made the chairperson of CFSI. There were many people in consideration but he has been finally assigned the charge. He has a very good credential of working in a famous children programme ‘Shaktimaan‘, which was liked by kids. That paves the way for him to lead the organization in creative capacity because we do need programmes for children.”
Mukesh Khanna who has worked in several Bollywood films over the years was last seen in TV serial Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. The very first episode of the super hit series Shaktimaan was aired on September 6, 1996 and since then Khanna has done many kids centric films including voiceovers in cartoon flicks Krishna aur Kans and Hanuman.
On joining CFSI, which is the prime producer of children’s films in South Asia, Mukesh Khanna will thus be thus be giving his input using his experience and caliber to make good content for children’s programs and develop the experience of entertainment for the future building blocks of our nation. As per the website, CFSI has a catalogue of 250 films in 10 different languages. The organization reaches four million children annually through its various film screenings across the country.
