2010: Another Diwali clash at the box office, with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Golmaal 3’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Action Replayy’. ‘Golmaal 3’ outperformed the latter, garnering Rs 872 million (Rs 8.72 crore) net on Day 1 over ‘Action Replayy’s Rs 48 million (Rs 4.80 crore) net.
Over its lifetime ‘Golmaal 3’ made about Rs 1.07 billion (Rs 107.56 crore) net, and ‘Action Replayy’ proved to be a dud with a total in the range of Rs 450 million ( Rs 45 crore) net.
