[tps_footer]Salman Khan starrer film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ proved to be record breaker hit. However, the movie now has a competitor with almost neck to neck collections. ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ managed to break all the records in its worldwide collections. The family entertainer which was a festive release has now got a challenger. Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Dilwale’ which has earned massive collections at the box office might soon level up to Salman Khan’s ‘PRDP’.
Rohit Shetty directorial film ‘Dilwale’, might not have gained immensely enchanting numbers on the home front, but has created laurels in its worldwide collections. The SRK–Kajol starrer film is still running in the screens and is extremely near to the collections of ‘PRDP’.
If ‘Dilwale’ surpasses the collections of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, it will become the second highest worldwide grosser after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The worldwide collection of Sooraj Barjatya’s film ‘PRDP’ is Rs. 365.45 crore net approx. (Rs 3.6 billion approx)
Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer film is in the second position to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which is on the first position earning Rs.603.39 crore net approx. (Rs 6 billion approx) ‘Dilwale’ featuring actors SRK, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is currently on the third position with worldwide earnings of Rs. 355 crore net approx.(Rs 3.5 billion approx)
The entertaining Rohit Shetty directorial film is expected to surpass the collections of ‘PRDP ‘as it is still running in the theatres and is witnessing minute crowds. The gap between the collections of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and ‘Dilwale’ is not very vast and can be covered.
The top 5 worldwide grossers of the year 2015 are ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ on first position with Rs. 603.39 crore net approx. (Rs 6 billion approx), ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ on second with Rs. 365.45 crore net approx. (Rs 3.6 billion approx), ‘Dilwale’ on third position with Rs. 355 crore net approx. (Rs 3.5 billion approx), ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on the fourth position with Rs. 335 crore net approx. (Rs 3.3 billion approx) and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ on the fifth position with Rs. 243.64 crore net approx. (Rs 2.4 billion approx)
Now whether ‘Dilwale’ crosses the barrier of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ or no, is still to be seen.[/tps_footer]
