Kabir Khan’s film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ that released during Eid this year collected Rs. 320.34 crores net approx and the current collection of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ after its 11 day run at the box office is Rs. 193.22 crores net approx. Thus making it a total of Rs. 513.56 crores net approx till now making 2015 all the more special for the actor. As PRDP is still going strong at the box office and is expected to touch the 200 crore mark any time now, the above figure can easily go up to 550 by the end of the film’s run.

Salman Khan’s previous films that released in 2012 and 2014 have all been able to collectively reach a mark of more than 300 crores a year, but this 500 crore mark is certainly a new record for the actor and something that cannot be broken so easily. In 2012 his films ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ collectively made Rs. 353.78 crores net approx. While in 2014, ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Kick’ made Rs. 346.69 crores net approx.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ had already been making records by becoming the highest opening film in the history of Indian cinema. Now with this 500 crore club mark, Salman Khan is in a totally separate league miles ahead of all. His only to competitors, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have also been ruling box office but not in as a grand scale as Salman. Now we wait to see where ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ leads this above 500 crore figure for Salman Khan.
