Balaji Motion Pictures Appoints Tushar Hiranandani As Development Head

Tushar-HiranandaniProduction house Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd (BMPL) has appointed scriptwriter Tushar Hiranandani as their new Development Head. Tushar who has worked with the production house for its super hit film Ek Villain and Main Tera Hero has also written scripts for the film Masti and the upcoming film ABCD 2. With his experience and expertise in the field of content creation, Hiranandani will be joining Balaji Pictures soon.

Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Shubhodip Pal added few words expressing his enthusiasm on having Tushar on board where he stated that with his experience, the group could take a step towards further consolidating their content generation capabilities where they will continue to invest in an eclectic film library. He further added, “With several successful films in our library over the years and an exciting pipeline of content-led films across genres over the next few months, we welcome Tushar to our young team, passionate about entertainment and look forward to making BMPL a powerhouse to look out for.

According to Tushar Hiranandani, the writer believes in developing great script as only good scripts make great cinema. The screenwriter thanked Balaji cofounder Ekta Kapoor for trusting in him and giving Tushar his creative freedom. Hiranandani stated, “Balaji is already one of the top studios in India and my aim is to work together with an already talented team, to make it the best in the industry and eventually widen the cinematic experience for audiences.”

Balaji Motion Pictures has given several hit films over the years including Shootout at Lokhandwala, Mission Instanbul, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Shor in the City, The Dirty Picture, Shootout At Wadala, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and last year’s Ek Villain. The production house has an impressive line up of films for this year as well included some of the most anticipated films like Udta Punjab, Half Girlfriend and Suspect X.
