Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam: Dr Shrikant Bhasi promoted Carnival Cinemas launched its three screens multiplex in the midst of an affluent residential and corporate neighbourhood on the MC road in Muvattupuzha on 22nd Dec 2016. CEO and Director, Carnival Cinemas, PV Sunil along with multitalented actor Jayasurya inaugurated it. Located at Grand Centre Mall, Araman Junction, Main Central Road, Carnival Cinemas Muvattupuzha is the first multiplex in the city. This is Carnival’s 5th cinema in Kerala.
Having the seating capacity of 421 seats, Carnival Cinemas Muvattupuzha is equipped with world class 2K Digital Projection Technology, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, high luminosity 3D screens, lavish interiors, luxurious seating arrangements, a wide array of F&B and the best-in-class services at pocket friendly prices.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr PV Sunil, Director & CEO, Carnival Cinemas, said, “On the auspicious occasion of Christmas, we are pleased to announce the opening of Carnival Cinemas’ newest three screens multiplex in Muvattupuzha from 22nd December. We are happy to launch the first multiplex in the city. Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art technology and services to our audience at a reasonable price. In line with our international and national expansion plans, we have some serious growth plans in Kerala as well. We are planning to open 100 screens in the state from North to South all over by 2017.”

He further added, “After a week, we will be opening Carnival Cinemas at Mughal Mall in Kodungallur. Apart from being very active in film exhibition and distribution, Carnival has produced regional and Bollywood films and has some major productions in pipeline.”
Carnival Cinemas is one of the largest multiplex chains in India. Carnival Cinemas acquired Anil Ambani’s Big Cinemas in December 2014. The Group also acquired Glitz Cinemas, which was a part of Capital 18; a subsidiary of Mukesh Ambani’s Network 18 Media in 2015 and also acquired HDIL’s multiplex chain Broadway Cinema. Carnival is expanding its screen presence in most of the cities and towns to provide quality movie experience.
