Humshakals Costs A Whopping 100 Million To Zee Music

zee music mainZee Music has clinched the deal for the music rights for Sajid Khan’s Humshakals for a whopping Rs 100 Million (Rs 10 crore).

The music of Humshakals has been composed by Sajid-Wajid and Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics have been penned by Mayur Puri, Sameer and Shabbir Ahmed.

The album has songs like Caller Tune sung by Neeti Mohan and Neeraj ShridharPiya Ke Bazaar hummed by Himesh Reshammiya, Shalmali Kholgade and Palak Muchhal, Just Look Into My Eyes by Ash King and Neeti Mohan and finally to close the album there is Khol Ke Dil Ki Khiladi sung by Mika Singh and Palak Muchha.

Humshakals is one of the most eagerly awaited comedies of 2014, and in order to make sure the film makes a huge buzz across the board, the makers have managed to get two major media houses to tie up for the promotions of the music of the film.

Last week the Star Network created a roadblock with an edit of the trailer that was played across all the channels simultaneously. This week, the second song from the movie Piya Ke Bazaar was showcased across all channels of the Zee Network.

Getting two media networks to promote one film is being perceived by the industry as big marketing coup and a song of confidence that the trade has in the film.

Humshakals is directed by Sajid Khan and stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor along with Bipasha Basu, Tamannah and Esha Gupta in the lead roles. It is slated to release on the June 20, 2014.
