Hugh Jackman, who has portrayed the adamantium-clawed mutant hero in seven movies since 2000’s X-Men, will be seen playing his famous character for the last time in yet-untitled third solo film from Wolverine series which is set to hit the theatres in 2017. The Australian actor took to his official Twitter account to share the teaser image of his final Wolverine film, asking his fans to help him decide how he should end his 15-year career as the superhero.
“My last time putting on the claws. What do you want to see happen? 50 words or less. I’ll read as many as I can,” Hugh Jackman wrote.
An end of an era is near and it surely is shocking as after this last Wolverine film, we’ll not get to see the star on the silver screen as Wolverine. From quite a long time, Hugh Jackman has been dropping hints about his retirement from the role. In an interview, Hugh confirmed the reports by saying that he feels that it is the right time to retire from the superhero’s role and explore different opportunities.
Hugh will be seen in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016 and then his last film as Wolverine in Wolverine’s third solo release. After his tweet, the start received great response from his fans. Overwhelmed by more than 10,000 retweets and massive response, Hugh Jackman posted a video thanking all his fans for the amazing response and reaction.

Hugh Jackman’s retirement from the role surely is a sad news and disappointing, which just makes us wait with patience for the film to hit the theatres soon and catch the star in the role for the last time.
The film will be directed by James Mangold. Film’s production is slated to begin in early 2016. 20th Century Fox is planning to release Wolverine 3 on March, 2017.
