Hollywood’s ace actress Julia Roberts is mourning the demise of her beloved mother today. Julia’s mother Betty Lou Motes was diagnosed with lung cancer soon after which she was hospitalized for quite some time. Betty passed away at the age of 80 at a hospital in California.
The Eat Pray Love actress’ mother was living with her family including her daughter, son-in-law and their kids when she was diagnosed with cancer. Doctors found a tumour in her lungs during an MRI scan and immediately took further required medical steps. After battling cancer at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, since 2013, Betty Lou Motes passed away today.
After the suicide of stepsister Nancy Motes, Julia Roberts was taken aback due to shock but decided to deal with the difficult times her family was going through. “You don’t want anything bad to happen to anyone, but there are so many tragic, painful, inexplicable things in the world,” the 47-year-old stated to a leading magazine.
Julia Roberts who visited India during the shoot of her film Eat Pray Love will soon be seen in her upcoming film Money Monsterstarring George Clooney. We give our condolences to Julia Roberts and her family for their loss.
