Columbian pop star Shakira, 37, and her Spanish footballer boyfriend Gerard Pique, 27, has welcomed their second baby, a boy again, at a hospital in Barcelona via Caesarean section on Thursday, 29th January 2015! Sasha Piqué Mebarak, as he is named, has joined their first child, 2 years old Milan. Shakira had expressed her desire to have a huge family with Gerard, in an interview in April 2014. Shakira and Gerard met when he appeared in her music video for Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) in 2011, and they have been together since then. Shakira though has maintained that the couple still doesn’t have marriage in mind, as they feel complete with each other and share a relationship full of love.

The newborn’s birth announcement confirmed, “The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means ‘defender of mankind’ and ‘warrior”. Both mother and baby are in good health, as per a statement issued by the hospital.
