Robbie Coltrane has been hospitalized in Orlando after he complained of flu-like symptoms on a British Airways flight from London. Coltrane is known for his role as a half giant Hogwarts gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid in all eight Harry Potter films!
The Scottish actor was flying to Orlando, Florida on Thursday, 29th January 2015 where he was supposed to be present this weekend at Universal Orlando’s Celebration of Harry Potter fan event. A theme park called The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter had opened in Florida last year. Other than Harry Potter, he also acted in James Bond films, GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough.
The 64 year old actor’s spokesperson has said that Coltrane has been resting and doctors have confirmed that everything is under control. However, regarding his illness, there was a loose rumour that erupted saying he was found drinking heavily in a lounge at Heathrow Airport just before boarding his flight and the spokesperson has issued a statement calling it “completely untrue”!
