Bossert upped as SVP at Columbia TriStar

MUMBAI: Alison Bossert has been named senior vice president special events for Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group. The announcement was made by Columbia TriStar Motion Picture group president domestic marketing Valerie Van Galder.


 


Bossert, who began her career at the studio as an assistant for special events at Columbia TriStar Television, was most recently vice president special events for CTMPG.


 


Bossert recently oversaw nine premieres worldwide for the biggest hit in Columbia Pictures’ history, Spider-Man 3, as part of the effort to launch the blockbuster worldwide. Bossert and her accomplished team produced the World Premiere in Tokyo, the Russian premiere in Moscow, and the US premiere in New York and managed the work of several international agencies on six more.


 


Other significant high impact events recently overseen by Bossert and her team include the roll-out of The Da Vinci Code at the Cannes Film Festival, where a 10-story reproduction of the Louvre pyramid was erected harbor-side at the world renowned film festival. She also supervised major premieres for Open Season, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Memoirs of a Geisha, Hitch and Spider-Man 2.
