MUMBAI: Disney has rolled out a contest for its forthcoming movie Underdog. By participating in the ‘Underdog Super Pet Contest’ on Disney.com, people can win a trip to the world premiere of the movie with their dog. The movie is scheduled to release on 3 August.
In addition to a trip to the world premiere, an unlimited number of entries will appear in the film’s end credits, allowing selected participants to see his or her dog in a movie theater on the big screen.
To enter, go to www.disney.com/UnderdogContest and submit a video or photo of your dog doing something super – from looking super sharp to attempting a super trick or feat. The contest began on 10 May and will end on 1 June, when 10 videos and 10 images will be chosen as finalists by the filmmakers on the basis of super creativity and uniqueness.
Movie fans everywhere will have the opportunity to visit the contest site and vote for the finalists between 8-14 June, with the top two most popular recipients in each category winning a trip to the Underdog world premiere in Los Angeles.

In conjunction with the launch of contest voting, Disney.com will debut the Underdog payoff trailer online, which will also be in theaters with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End on 25 May. At Disney.com fans will be able to visit the official Underdog Channel in Disney XD, an interactive broadband experience within the new Disney.com. They will be able to vote for their favorite contest finalists, watch the new trailer, play games, and chat with pre-set Underdog-themed phrases such as “There’s no need to fear! Underdog is here!” Disney XD members who are fans of “man’s best friend” can also leave special Underdog virtual stickers on their friends’ channels.
