MUMBAI: Camelot Entertainment Group and its wholly owned subsidiary DarKnight Pictures will release the DVD of 1428 Films’ Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy on 4 May.
Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy is the definitive behind-the-scenes retrospective on the 25 year history of the horror epic A Nightmare on Elm Street. The DVD can be purchased online at various websites online as well as in select stores.
This release follows the theatrical release of New Line/Warner Bros.’ A Nightmare on Elm Street this past weekend, which opened #1 at the US box office.
Narrated by original Nightmare actress Heather Langenkamp and with over 100 interviews from the cast and crew, including directors Wes Craven, Renny Harlin, and Ronny Yu, as well as talent John Saxon, rockstar Alice Cooper, Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason), and Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, Never Sleep Again captures the impact of pop culture and the horror genre, while exploring the intelligent, yet psychopathic character who brings everyone’s worst nightmares to life.
The documentary is a 1428 Films/Panic Production produced by Daniel Farrands and Thommy Hutson, written by Thommy Hutson, and directed by Daniel Farrands and Andrew Kasch.
"Freddy Krueger is modern cinema’s ultimate boogeyman and this exhaustive four-hour retrospective gives fans of the Elm Street series – and fans of horror cinema in general – the most in-depth perspective on this groundbreaking franchise ever created," said Farrands.
Producer/writer Hutson added, "Our goal in creating Never Sleep Again was to leave no stone unturned in a way that is entertaining, fast-paced and emotionally engaging."
