iWin & Sony Pictures Consumer Products to bring TV show to Facebook

MUMBAI: iWin, Inc., a casual and social games creator, distributor and publisher, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc., have inked a licensing deal to bring the TV game show The $100,000 Pyramid to the Facebook platform starting later this summer.

"Our lineup of Facebook games has continued to grow dramatically over the past year, and our partnership with Sony Pictures to bring such a well known TV game show as The $100,000 Pyramid to Facebook will further contribute to this success. iWin continues to engage millions of loyal game players on Facebook, and the addition of this new title from Sony further solidifies our position as the leading provider of branded social games," said iWin, Inc president Peter Negulescu.

"Sony Pictures is thrilled to release The $100,000 Pyramid social game on Facebook with such a successful social games partner as iWin. The $100,000 Pyramid has built a strong and loyal following from its creation, and we are looking forward to watching the Facebook community immerse themselves in the game," added Sony Pictures Consumer Products vice president – interactive Mark Caplan.

The $100,000 Pyramid social game on Facebook plays just like the TV game show. In the first round, players compete in three categories where they see clues to help them guess the correct category terms. Players can earn bonus game cash when they complete a "BIG 6" by getting all 6 clues correct in one category. If they score enough points in the first round, players make it to the Winners Circle where they encounter their last challenge — get all three categories right to win $25,000 in game cash. Players can then invite their friends to join the fun when they "Pass the Pyramid" for the chance to win $100,000 in game cash. Leader boards fuel even more social fun with The $100,000 Pyramid on Facebook.
