LOS ANGELES: Lindsay Lohan is going to play iconic screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in a new TV movie.

"I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well," said Lohan through a press statement. The 25 year old is making a kind of comeback after many legal and other controversies. 

Lifetime television’s original movie "Liz & Dick," is based on the true story of Taylor’s romance with actor Richard Burton, whom she married twice in her life. It showcases how Taylor met Burton on the set of the 1963 film ‘Cleopatra’.
