Brought to you by the popular social network MySpace, this variety-style show, performed live from Kuwait on 10 March will be broadcast for the first time in a condensed one-hour special on FX on 12 April.
A one-of-a-kind entertainment special, Operation MySpace brought more than 7,000 troops serving at Camp Buehring in Kuwait a taste of home and the opportunity for MySpace to show their support for the millions of troops that use the site as a lifeline to communicate with family and friends.
During the TV broadcast, millions of American households will have the opportunity to relive this high-energy and emotional experience featuring the best in musical talent and the most entertaining highlights from the day.
The one-hour special will feature behind-the-scenes moments and interviews with troops and star talent, including the hysterical material of host and comedian Carlos Mencia, performances by Jessica Simpson, who sang Take My Breath Away from the military movie Top Gun, Pussycat Dolls, who were reunited for the first time with Nicole Scherzinger, Disturbed and Filter, who brought a harder rock sound, and DJ Z-Trip, who spun American classics such as Johnny Cash and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
