MySpace, Warner Bros. Television ink content partnership

Mumbai: MySpace has inked a content partnership with Warner Bros. Television Group to bring the new original digital series Sorority Forever – created by director/producer McG and the producers of the Internet series Prom Queen – from TheWB.com (www.thewb.com) to MySpaceTV (http://www.myspacetv.com).

Sorority Forever will be hosted on its own custom hub on MySpaceTV (http://www.myspace.com/sororityforever), with episodes of the series premiering at 9:00 a.m. PDT every day beginning on 8 September, concurrent with its launch on TheWB.com, the Warner Bros. Television Group’s new ad-supported, premium, video-on-demand, and personalized network. Original episodes of Sorority Forever will appear exclusively on TheWB.com and MySpaceTV for 24 hours and then will become available through TheWB.com’s additional broadband distribution partners. Five new episodes per week (one new episode each weekday) will be available to view on MySpaceTV, in addition to character profiles and other interactive features.

"TheWB.com is a great fit for the MySpace audience, and we couldn’t be happier to be launching the original series Sorority Forever on MySpaceTV at the same time it debuts on TheWB.com," said TheWB.com GM Brent Poer. "Packed with compelling characters, mysterious storytelling, hip fashion and cool music, Sorority Forever is ready-made for the MySpaceTV audience."

With a mystery around every corner, Sorority Forever will provide viewers with a sexy and immersive experience that is simultaneously realistic and voyeuristic: think "Prom Queen" meets "The O.C.," but set in college. McG will executive produce, along with Big Fantastic creators/executive producers Douglas Cheney, Chris Hampel, Chris McCaleb and Ryan Wise. Producing alongside McG at Wonderland Sound and Vision are Peter Johnson, Matthew King and Jeff Grosvenor. Jessica Rose ("lonelygirl15"), Mikaela Hoover ("Sam Has 7 Friends") and Taryn Southern ("Project My World") star.

In addition to Sorority Forever, MySpace and Warner Bros. are also announcing the launch of multiple MySpaceTV Branded Channels for additional Warner Bros. Television Group properties, including "The O.C.," "Smallville," "One Tree Hill," "Veronica Mars," "Gilmore Girls," "Jack & Bobby," "Animatrix," "Babylon 5," "V: The Series," "Witchblade," "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.," "Growing Pains," "Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper," "Head of the Class" and "Wonder Woman." Content will be refreshed weekly, and users are able to friend individual properties and receive updates from each channel individually. Users will also be able to embed videos into personal profiles, blogs, bulletins and comments sections in addition to offsite viral capabilities via "Post to MySpace."

Sorority Forever is the newest addition to a number of branded channels and content partners on MySpaceTV, including TMZ, BBC Worldwide, quarterlife, Sony (Minisode Network), National Geographic, The New York Times and lifestyle outlets including 60 Frames, Atomic Wedgie, FOX’s IGN Entertainment, JibJab, Kush TV, Next New Networks, Octane TV, Ripe TV, Sports Illustrated, VBS.TV (Vice Magazine) and Watch Mojo.
