MUMBAI: Olivier Robert-Murphy has been promoted to head of international business development for Universal Music Group International (UMGI), with immediate effect.
He will report to UMGI senior vice president – digital Rob Wells.
UMGI manages Universal Music Group’s businesses in more than 50 countries outside North America.
In his new role, Robert-Murphy assumes responsibility for UMGI’s new business activities including strategic marketing partnerships, international research, new revenue streams, brand partnerships, premiums and the company’s media-buying through its partner, Mediacom.
Robert-Murphy was vice president international strategic marketing at UMGI, overseeing audiovisual activities, consumer & commercial marketing, and catalogue exploitation. He has been with the company since 2001, and previously was vice president marketing at Universal Pictures International Video, and deputy managing director at PolyGram Video.
