Mumbai: Paul West has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Studio & Vault Operations for Universal Music Logistics, it was announced by executive vice president, digital logistics and business services Vincent Freda.
Based in Hollywood, West will continue to oversee Universal Music Group’s studio and vault interests, including the three Universal Mastering Studios locations in the US and the legendary Disa Recording Studio in Monterrey, Mexico.
"Paul is an accomplished creative executive who has not only been instrumental in growing our business operations but has also built one of the best studio teams in the industry," said Freda. "I look forward to Paul’s future contributions in this expanded role."
West has been with the company for nearly twenty years and has been a leader in developing standard archive formatting techniques in advance of many industry competitors. He is also currently working with the Library of Congress in creating a preservation policy for new forms of media.
