MUMBAI: Thanda Belker has been promoted to executive vice president, pay television, for Sony Pictures Television (SPT).
In this position, Belker oversees domestic hotel and residential Pay Per View and Video On Demand licensing and marketing activities as well as domestic Pay TV licensing and promotional efforts.
Belker represents the studio’s current and library product from Columbia Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Classics, Stage 6, SPHE and a variety of other programming under the studio’s banner. Belker joined SPT in April 2005 as vice president, pay television and is in her ninth year with Sony Pictures.
"Thanda’s understanding of the needs of her clients and her ability to navigate the intricacies of the changing marketplace make her an incredible asset to our organization," said SPT president, domestic distribution John Weiser.
Prior to joining the company, Belker worked at Buena Vista Television licensing domestic hotel and residential PPV and VOD, and before that, she served as director, programming at TeleTV Media.
