South Asian IPTV network debuts in US, Canada

Mumbai: TV-Desi LLC., a subsidiary of NeuLion Inc. and JumpTV Inc. has launched a new IPTV service delivering live South Asian television content to viewers in the United States and Canada.

TV-Desi is the first IPTV service dedicated to the Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities in North America. This subscription-based service provides live content in superior video quality using a broadband Internet connection and unique set top box technology.

TV-Desi comes to the marketplace through the core capabilities of NeuLion and JumpTV. These online media powerhouses have collectively launched the most complete online television experience with the ability to best serve the Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi markets.

TV-Desi features a line-up of over 40 channels including: Sony Entertainment Television Asia, Indus TV, Aaj, NDTV, ATN, Ekushey, Diganta, RTV, Hum TV, Amrita TV, IBN-Lokmat, TV9 News as well as North American Desi channels ITV, ASC amongst others.

In the coming months, TV-Desi plans to add movies and video-on-demand content as well as more channels in regional languages.
